The best desserts are the ones we make ourselves.
Food has a way of tasting more delectable when you have poured your heart into the mixture no matter what you make.

There is nothing better than to finish off a hearty meal with a dessert and the best dessert ever created is a chocolate dessert. It is no wonder that a chocolate cake is the most popular dessert with Americans.

Much of the desserts we know well are the ones that were handed down from family member to family member. These desserts are what we class as "comfort food". Comfort foods are foods that can trigger a memory or a feeling from your past; it can also offer you contentment and is meaningful.

We have all looked into our pantry at sometime wanting to make something to satisfy our taste buds. When deciding what to make the average person makes their decision based on 2 things "what they feel like eating" and "what is easily available to them".

In all of my life of creating my favourite dishes..."Desserts", I have found one of the best recipes for chocolate pudding that I make all the time for my family and they love it.
This recipe is quicker than most, as you do not need to do any greasing of dishes nor do you need to premix in a bowl before pouring into a baking dish, you just mix directly into an oven proof dish.

Chocolate Fudge Pudding
Place into an oven proof dish:
1 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp baking powder
Pinch salt
1/2 cup milk
2 Tbsp melted butter
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 Tbsp cocoa powder

Mix ingredients together to form a batter, then sprinkle over 2 Tbsp cocoa powder and 3/4 brown sugar. (You can substitute brown sugar for normal sugar or castor sugar if you wish)
Pour over 2 cups of hot boiled water.
Place into a moderate oven 180°C for 40 to 45 minutes or until cooked in the middle.
Serve with ice-cream, or cream.

You can check if it is cooked by inserting a skewer into the middle, if the skewer is clear then it is cooked.

This chocolate pudding is divine, as it is a self saucing chocolate dessert and tastes great hot or cold.
Enjoy!
