I LOVE PIZZA!!!
It's the fastest, easiest food to prepare when a friend drop by in an instant. Plus, I can make it the way I want it to be. There is simply NO RULES for pizza...
Personally, I always used ready made dough, which you can find in any supermarket. But then, I found this recipe, and hell yes, it's damn easy! So, lets try this, shall we?
Think of something out of the ordinary the next time pizza is planned for dinner. It is hard to go wrong with ingredients when the family will eat just about anything as long as it is on the pizza. Early in life we start out with finger food, and it is just so convenient, we continue on whenever possible.
Anyone who ever questioned if pizza is popular in the United States only has to drive through any town and count pizza parlors and delivery shops. It is good for games, TV marathon shows, and a quick snack. Some companies reward their employees by having a pizza luncheon, completed by green salad and bread sticks.
Consider a pizza birthday party for your teenager this year. Teens have a good time in the kitchen. Have the ingredients ready to go. Put out two rolling pins for the dough, with two pastry sheets or bread boards to roll it out.
Pizza Party
There are many types of sauce in jars or cans, or packaged mix can be purchased and added to tomato sauce and paste. Since it is teens, prepared sauce is probably best. Have at least two large spoons for the sauce to be applied and spread around the pizza dough. Everyone should have at least one task to participate in. Teenage girls tend to have longer nails, so choose a couple of boys to grate the cheese, or purchase pre-grated cheese in the packs. Pepperoni is the most popular meat item for pizza. Have one cheese pizza made for those who do not care for pepperoni.
Fast Pizza Dough
What You Need:
- Two 12-inch Pizza Pans
- Large bowl for dough
- Large metal or wooden spoon to mix dough
- Two and 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup milk
How To Make It
Preheat oven to 425 F.
Combine the ingredients in the large bowl. Stir well, making sure the flour is mixed thoroughly. When the dough leaves the sides of the bowl cleanly, it is ready to knead.
Divide the dough in half. Place one of the halves on a paper plate or towel.
Shape the half in the bowl into a ball. Knead it ten times and place it on a pastry sheet that has been lightly dusted with flour. Repeat with the remaining half.
With a rolling pin, roll each ball of dough out to a round 13-inch shape. Place each crust on the pizza pan,
Turn the edge of the crust up and over, making a small barrier to hold the sauce in, when it is applied later.
Put the pans in the oven and let the dough bake for five minutes. Remove the crusts and let them cool until it is time to finish the pizza.
Cheese Stuffed Crust
If you like cheese-stuffed crust, take an individual package of string cheese. Lay strips of it around the edge of the crust. Fold it over and bake for five minutes. The cheese will finish melting when the pizza is baked.
